Summer Must-Haves!

I love summer, and Australia really knows how to do one!

I basically live in a bikini for the entire summer so having the perfect pair(s) is #1 priority! My current favourites are Amore & Sorvete, Zulu & Zephyr and Zingiber (all West Australian designers)! I'm all about the cheeky, Brazilian cut bikini bottoms cos who doesn't love bums! I usually go for matching sets because I prefer to match rather than mix and match.

Our summer's are filled with 40°C days so sun protection is imperative! Mecca's To Save Face sunscreen is the most amazing, luxe product I've ever used. It's a lightweight formula that feels like nothing on the face! And it comes in SPF30+ and 50+! Hats are also a must! Getting burnt in your hairline isn't fun (I speak from many experiences) so protect your head! And finally, the perfect pair of sunnies. I got these ones for Christmas after lusting after them for several months. I haven't taken them off since I got them!

Lastly, for those days when you can't get to the beach to get that perfect salty beach hair that I LOVE, Bumble and Bumble's surf spray will give you the same look!

Also, not pictured, but a Turkish towel never goes astray!

Skincare Routine!

Morning:

I first cleanse my face with Kate Somerville's Gentle Daily Wash, pat dry my face with a towel, then gently pat Origins Ginzing eye cream around the eye area. This product reduces puffiness and helps you look more awake. Next, I massage Origins Make a Difference Plus+ Rejuvenating Moisturiser. Currently I'm looking into buying a more daytime friendly moisturiser, this one is good but it is a teeny bit too much for day time! I really like the Make a Difference Plus treatment for daytime so I might buy that again! Finally, I put on some of Mecca's Lip De Luscious treatment to my lips! And I'm done! I try and wait at least 30 minutes before applying makeup to my skin to give the skin products time to absorb and do their job!

 

Nighttime:

If I'm wearing makeup I take it off with Mecca's Clean Slate Makeup Remover, a micellar water, then in the shower I use any one of my three cleansers. I use either Kate Somerville gentle daily wash or Mario Badescu enzyme cleansing gel, I like to alternate between the two. I like to use Eve Lom's cleanser at least three times a week. This is a new product for me and I'm obsessed with it! It makes my skin feel so amazing and it does an great job at taking makeup off if I haven't already removed it, it's no wonder it's been voted the World's Best Cleanser almost 20 years in a row by Vogue magazine! After cleansing, I once again pat dry my face. If I had a serum, this is when I would apply it. Currently looking at buying Eve Lom's intense firming serum! Since I don't have a serum, I go straight into eye cream! At the moment, I don't have a nighttime eye cream, but I've been trying out a few! Perricone's Cold Plasma eye cream, this was a nice product, but I wouldn't buy it because the fishy smell wasn't particularly appealing to smell for a while after I've applied it to my eyes. Bobbi Brown's Hydrating eye cream, just finished up my sample of this and I really loved it! I need a hydrating eye cream because my under-eyes are quite dry and I noticed my concealer going on a lot smoother after using this for a week! Seriously considering purchasing a full size! After eye cream, it's moisturiser! I use the same moisturiser for nighttime as I do daytime (for the moment). I've really noticed a difference in my skin since using this moisturiser, it's so soft and smooth! And finally, I apply Mecca's Lip De Luscious Night Treatment to my lips so I wake up with soft, plump lips!

Haute Candles!

I'm obsessed with candles at the moment! Currently burning Byredo's Prune Glacee candle which smells heavenly sweet! I love the way candles can instantly create a certain mood within a room. I'm excited to expand my candle collection and I've added some that are high on my list to buy below!
